Career Mode gives every pilot a rank, a title that reflects how much you've flown and accomplished in Simmers. It's not a second progression system: your rank is just a name layered on top of the pilot level you already earn from logging flights, unlocking achievements, and completing airline assignments. Nothing about your rank restricts how or when you can fly, it's recognition, not a gate.
The ranks
| Rank | Minimum level | Total XP required |
|---|---|---|
Cadet | 1 | 0 XP |
Second Officer | 4 | 1,500 XP |
First Officer | 7 | 3,000 XP |
Senior First Officer | 11 | 5,000 XP |
Captain | 15 | 7,000 XP |
Senior Captain | 19 | 9,000 XP |
Every pilot starts as a Cadet. From there, your rank climbs automatically as your level increases, there's nothing to activate or claim.
How XP and levels work
Your level comes from your total XP, and XP builds up from the same sources across the app: unlocking achievements (frequent flyer milestones, distance flown, hours logged, and more) and completing daily assignments while employed by an airline in Career Mode. Every 500 XP earns you a level, and your rank is simply the highest title whose minimum level you've reached.
Where to see your progress
Open Career Mode from the hub to see your current rank, how close you are to the next one, and a timeline of your promotions. Your pilot level and rank also appear on your public pilot profile, alongside your logbook stats.
Hiding your rank
If you'd rather not display your rank, you can turn it off from your profile settings. With rank hidden, it won't appear anywhere in the app, not on your public profile, your avatar, streaming overlays, or inside the hub. Your XP and level still accumulate in the background either way; hiding your rank only affects whether it's shown.
